We will gather on Thursday evening of Holy Week, March 28, 2024 at 7:00 pm, starting in Fellowship Hall, celebrating Holy Communion together around tables. Then we will move to the sanctuary upstairs (elevator is available), to observe the ancient ritual of Tenebrae. This term comes from a Latin word meaning darkness or shadows. This moving and inspiring service scripturally and symbolically dramatizes the suffering, death, and burial of Jesus, moving from light to darkness. At the end of the service, the bare altar, chancel, and sanctuary will be in darkness. The return of the Christ candle points to His coming resurrection.
